Edo guber election: PVC collection dates announced

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has set August 22 to September 8, 2024, for the collection of Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) in Edo State in preparation for the September 21 Governorship Election.

INEC Chairman, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, announced that only valid registrants will receive their PVCs, and proxies will not be permitted.

The National Bureau of Statistics reports that the average retail price of petrol increased to N770.54 per liter in July 2024, up from N750.17 in June.

The price rose by 2.72 percent month-on-month and 23.35 percent year-on-year, with Katsina State recording the highest price at N950 per liter.
