Court Nullifies Creation Of 33 LCDAs By Late Gov Akeredolu
A high court in Akure, the capital of Ondo state, has annulled the establishment of 33 additional local council development areas (LCDAs) in the state.
The Ondo state house of assembly passed the bill for the creation of the 33 additional councils on August 15, 2023, after it scaled a third reading.

Lawmaker Pushes For N150,000 Minimum Wage, Appeals To Tinubu
The Lawmaker representing Nasarawa West Senatorial District at the Upper Legislative chamber, Senator Ahmed Aliyu Wadada has called on President Bola Tinubu to approve at least ₦150,000 as the new national minimum wage.
His words: “I have expressed my opinion in the past on the issue and I am going to reiterate it here. “For me as a person, the minimum a worker should earn is N150,000, looking at the realities of today.”

Speaking further, Wadada stated that he and other lawmakers were willing to make sacrifices in terms of reduction of their remunerations and allowances just to ensure Nigerian workers earned decent monthly salaries.

Okonkwo, who served as the spokesperson for the LP’s presidential campaign during the 2023 elections, expressed his dissatisfaction with the party, calling it “a clandestine organization governed by a bunch of clowns” during a recent media interaction.
He criticized the party’s inability to hold a credible national convention, highlighting the internal leadership conflicts that have plagued the LP since Lamidi Apapa, the deputy national chairman (south), declared himself interim national chairman.
