Tragedy In Bauchi As Fatal Auto Crash Leaves 20 Burnt Beyond Recognition

A dreadful and horrible fatal accident occurred in  Bauchi state, at the cost of 20 lives, burned beyond recognition.

EKO NOT BLOG gathered that the crash, which happened on Sunday, involved two vehicles.

It has also come to light that only two women survived with injuries amongst the 22 passengers in both vehicles.

The Police Public Relations Officer, Bauchi State Command, Ahmed Wakil, confirmed the crash in an interview recently.

He said the crash took place around 3pm.

Wakil said, Yes, it was an accident and it occurred at Tirwun area of the state.

“Twenty-two passengers in two separate vehicles were involved in the accident., a Hummer Bus 18-seater of Borno Express Mass Transit and a Golf car. There were 18 passengers on the Hummer and four on the golf car..

“The Borno Express bus set off from Jos for Maiduguri whereas the golf car came from Misau and went towards Bauchi.

“Right away, we got a call, our men from Motorpol rushed to the scene for the rescue operation and carried all the casualties to the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital, Bauchi.

“Of the 22 passengers, 20 were burned and unable to be identified In fact, two women survived the crash.”

“The bodies were dropped off at the morgue whereas the two wounded were simultaneously rushed to the hospital to get medical help.”
