A young man identified as Shuaib Isola has been declared dead by medical doctors in a General Hospital at Iwo, Osun State.
Isola died after he was given a deadly punch by his counterpart, Ahmed Lateef while they were playing football.
The incident which occured on 10am on Sunday at the playground of the St. Mary’s Grammar School, Iwo started with a heated argument and later on generated into a fight between the two young men.
Isola slumped after he was hit on the face by Lateef, he was rushed to the hospital, unfortunately he was pronounced dead.
While the chaos was going on, the culprit, Lateef fled the scene.
The hospital management suggested an autopsy to find out the real cause of his death but his family refused.
The Police Public Relations Officer in the Osun State, Yemisi Opalola confirmed the arrest of one person in connection with the crime and she said further investigations are ongoing.
