Eko hot blog reports that In a shocking turn of events, a woman named Nimotalahi Ishola plunged into the Lagos Lagoon from a ferry in Igando, Lagos State, on Saturday night. Witnesses reported that she was one of twelve passengers aboard the boat when she abruptly removed her life jacket and leaped into the water, leading authorities to suspect it was a suicide and a tragic incident.
The incident occurred around 9pm as the boat was traveling from Isuti Jetty in Igando to Totowu in Ogun State. A bottle of insecticide found among her belongings suggests a possible premeditated act.
Police officers have visited the scene, and a search party has been formed to locate her body.
Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the tragic incident, stating that investigations are ongoing and efforts are underway to notify her family.
