Transfer: Galatasaray Set €50M Maximum For Osimhen January Move

According to Turkish outlet Sozcu, Galatasaray is unwilling to pay more than €50 million to sign Napoli’s Victor Osimhen in January, as the Turkish champions aim to secure the Nigerian striker, who has a release clause set at €75 million.

Osimhen, currently on loan at Galatasaray from Napoli, does not have a purchase option in his loan deal. His release clause was lowered to €75 million when he joined Galatasaray in September, but Sozcu reports that the club lacks the resources to match this amount.

Instead, they aim to reach €50 million with help from a sponsor, hoping to close the deal in the January transfer window before other clubs make their move.

The 25-year-old striker was previously in negotiations with Napoli and Chelsea in August, but the deal fell through, leading to his loan move to Galatasaray after the close of the European and Saudi Pro League transfer windows.

Despite ongoing transfer speculation, Osimhen has stated his commitment to staying with Galatasaray for the full season. Italian sources suggest his release clause could rise to €90 million in January, though Galatasaray may still be able to negotiate a lower fee.

Osimhen has quickly adapted to life in Istanbul, scoring four goals and providing four assists in seven appearances. His performances have made him a fan favourite, with supporters regularly chanting his name during games. However, his success has also kept him on the radar of major clubs, including Saudi Pro League’s Al Ahly and Chelsea.
