The Ligue 1 giants were initially interested in the 25-year-old as an ideal replacement for Kylian Mbappe, who is close to finalizing his dream move to Real Madrid.
However, their interest waned before the season ended.
After failing to find a more suitable replacement for the French striker, PSG have resumed their pursuit of the former Lille player, as reported by Il Mattino via TMW.
Osimhen is anticipated to be sold in a high-profile transfer this summer, with a €130 million release clause in his new contract with Napoli.
He played a crucial role in the club’s Scudetto success last season.
Also, he has maintained a high level of form this term, despite the team’s troubles on the pitch.
A long list of clubs, including Chelsea, Arsenal, and Manchester United, are interested in acquiring Osimhen this summer.
De Laurentiis has made it clear that Napoli won’t offer any discounts, insisting that his release clause be activated.
The strong relationship between the two presidents has put the Parisian giants in pole position in the race for the Nigerian striker’s signature.
The recent departure of Kylian Mbappe has intensified their need for a statement signing this summer.
