Photos of the 17-year-old preparing to depart South America have surfaced on social media, and sources familiar with the situation have confirmed that Leon is traveling to Manchester.

His current club, Cerro Porteno, has previously stated that an agreement has been reached for a fee of approximately £6m, including add-ons, for the left-sided Paraguayan defender.
Should the move go through, it would be the first signing since Ruben Amorim took over as United’s head coach following Erik ten Hag’s dismissal in October.
There is a possibility that Leon could be loaned back to Cerro Porteno for the remainder of the season before officially joining United in the summer.
Last week, Leon was also included in Paraguay’s squad for the South American Under-20 Championship, which will take place in Venezuela from January 23 to February 16.
