Tottenham Hotspur have activated an option to extend captain Son Heung-min’s contract, keeping the South Korean star at the club until 2026.
The 32-year-old forward, who joined Spurs from Bayer Leverkusen in 2015, has made 431 appearances and scored 169 goals, placing him fourth on the club’s all-time scoring list.

Son, appointed Tottenham captain in August 2023, earned the Premier League Golden Boot in the 2021/22 season, sharing the accolade with Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah after netting 23 goals.
Also the captain of South Korea, Son has represented his country 131 times, scoring 51 international goals. Despite Tottenham’s struggles this season, sitting 12th in the Premier League, Son has contributed seven goals across all competitions.
