EKO HOT BLOG reports that Despite the federal government’s threat to impose a similar restriction on the European countries, UK officials have stated that the travel ban against Nigeria would not be lifted.
Dean Hurlock, a spokesman for the British High Commission, stated on Tuesday December 14, in response to Minister of Aviation Hadi Sirika’s threat that the UK, Canada, and Saudi Arabia would be added to Nigeria’s travel ban, that travel abroad would be different this year and that the UK would stick to its “standard background lines.”
He also told Punch that the Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Office travel advice was always being updated, and he advised travelers to continue to check it for entry requirements of the destinations they planned to visit.
