EKO HOT BLOG reports that renowned American gospel artiste, Travis Greene, has expressed his condolences to Pastor Paul Adefarasin over the death of Chris Okafor, a drummer with the House on the Rock church in Nigeria.
According to a post on Pastor Adefarasin’s Instagram page, Chris slumped and died during a church service on Sunday, March 13, 2023. He was just thirty-six years old and reportedly died during his prime.
The post read, “Chris Okafor was full of life, his understanding of music and how beats make your worship experience so much better is a talent that he will be remembered for. Chris served with us in the music ministry arm of HOTR for over 12 years, and while serving, on Sunday, he slumped and was immediately rushed to our in-suite clinic for first aid before being rushed to the hospital.”
Pastor Adefarasin went on to reflect on the moments they shared with Chris and expressed how proud they were of his achievements. He also sympathized with Chris’ wife, Destiny, and his aged father, who he said must be feeling the void so deeply.
In response to the post, Travis Greene, who has performed at House on the Rock’s annual The Experience concert, sent his condolences and prayers to the House on the Rock church and Chris’ family.
