Preventive treatment is ongoing in Lagos for the Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari, Malam Abba Kyari, who tested positive for coronavirus.
Kyari who arrived Lagos early today in an air ambulance felt bright and chirpy without showing any symptoms of the virus.
The top presidential aide in a statement on Sunday night said ever since he tested positive, he had been observing all the laid down rules and protocols and he hoped to return to work soon as he had been working from home all along.
While noting that the disease was no respecter of persons, the senior presidential aide advised citizens to tread with caution and adhere to principles of hygiene, medical advice and maintain social distancing.
He praised the staff in his office whom he said worked round the clock in service to both the president and the country.
He thanked the team of health professionals handling the disease and other well wishers who have reached out to him.
