Eko Hot Blog reports that Justice H.T.D Gwadah, has dismissed the People’s democratic Party (PDP) Abia chapter’s bid to nullify the election of Governor Alex Otti for lacking in merit.
The case was thrown out at the Governorship Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Umuahia on grounds that the contention over the governor’s qualification to contest the election and the arguments of the petitioners were pre-election matters.
According to Justice Gwadah, the tribunal lacked jurisdiction to entertain such the matter.
The tribunal, which dismissed the petition brought by Ambrose Ahaiwe and the PDP challenging the outcome of the March 18, 2023 poll, delivered the judgement on Friday, October 6, 2023.
