Tribunal Upholds Ogun Speaker, Oluomo’s Election
– Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Abeokuta, Upheld the victory of Omoyele Sowore
– Evidence submitted by the Mr Wemimo Owolabi of APM was insufficient to nullify the election of Oluomo of APC
– Oluomo called on all aggrieved parties to put their grievances behind them and give him their support
The Ogun state election Petition tribunal, headed by Justice Adenike Coker has upheld the election of the Speaker of Ogun State House of Assembly, Hon. Olakunle Oluomo, as the lawmaker representing Ifo Constituency 1.
The three member tribunal said that the evidence submitted by the petitioner, Mr Wemimo Owolabi, of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) was insufficient to nullify the election of Oluomo of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

In response, the Speaker appreciated the Judiciary for being the hope of the common man.
Prince Oluomo emphasised, “that the people of Ifo-1 Constituency deserved good representation at the state Assembly, promising not to betray the trust and love reposed in him.”
He therefore, called on all aggrieved parties to put their grievances behind them and give him their support to ensure good representation and governance.
