Troops Intercept Bag Containing Bullets Disguised As Bag Of Rice

A bag containing more than 4653 x rods of 7.62mm (special) have been intercepted by the Nigerian troops deployed to Moriki, Zamfara State on Monday.

The ammunition-filled bag was disguised as a bag of rice and conveyed on a motorcycle.

After being nabbed by troops, the motorcyclist escaped but the bullets disguised in the bag and the bike have been seized.

Reports says that it belongs to the Bokoharam insurgents, and that it could be one of the ways used to transport ammunitions into different part of the country.

Recently, 30 people were killed by the insurgents in Borno leading to the president’s visit to the state yesterday.

But instead of receiving a warm reception, he was booed and humiliated by residents.

Shortly after he left, another attack rocked the community.
