Truck Crushes Gatekeeper To Death In Ogun

Ekohotblog, September 13, 2020….Tears in Ogun State as a loaded truck crushed a gateman to death at the Atan market junction, along the Sango-Idiroko road on Saturday.

A deceased is identified as a gatekeeper in one of the private hospitals in Atan, Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government area of Ogun State.

Ekohotblog learned that the accident occurred after the loaded truck had a brake failure, and lost control.

At the time of filing this report, his remains have been buried by his relatives.

The Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement (TRACE) Corps has confirmed the accident saying it happened around 11:50 am.

TRACE spokesperson, Babatunde Akinbiyi, said the green Howo Sino truck, with registration number, AKM 560 ZT, was loaded with mud.

Akinbiyi said, “We Learnt the truck developed a brake failure, while inbound Idiroko, lost control in the process and fell on a passer-by, at Atan market, who is a gatekeeper at a private hospital at Atan.

“The driver and the motor boy thereafter reported themselves to Atan Divisional Police Command, where they are present with the vehicle,” Akinbiyi stated.
