Tragedy struck at Oke-Baale area in Osogbo, the Osun State capital on Sunday, as a truck crushed two persons riding on a motorcycle to death.
EKO HOT BLOG gathered that the tragic incident occurred when the rider of the motorcycle overtook a commercial bus and faced the truck that was descending from the other lane.
It was learnt that the truck crashed and smashed both the rider and the passenger of the motorcycle as they were reported dead on the spot.
EKO HOT BLOG gathered that the driver of the commercial bus escaped while the driver of the truck was arrested by police officers in the state.

The incident was confirmed by the Osun State Police Public Relations Officer, Mrs. Yemisi Opalola, noting that the situation had been brought under control in the area.
The police spokesperson added that the corpses of the victims, the motorcycle, and the truck had been evacuated from the road.
Opalola, therefore, urged motorcyclists to always avoid overspeeding and wrong overtaking so as to prevent avoidable deaths on the road
