Trump highlighted Blakeman’s collaboration with immigration and security agencies, commending his commitment to maintaining public safety and upholding law and order.

Blakeman’s entry into the race earlier this month had stirred political tension within the New York Republican camp, especially after Stefanik formally launched her campaign in November.
Despite Trump previously endorsing both contenders, Stefanik announced her withdrawal, saying she wanted to avoid a prolonged primary battle in a traditionally Democratic-leaning state.

She also revealed that she had suspended her campaign to focus on broader party interests, after earlier stepping down from her House leadership role following Trump’s withdrawn nomination of her as UN ambassador.
With Trump’s endorsement now firmly behind Blakeman, New York Republicans face a decisive contest as they prepare for the challenging general election ahead.
