Donald Trump has recently implied that Taylor Swift endorsed him by sharing altered images of the singer and her fans on social media.
The former president and current Republican candidate posted the message “I accept!” alongside the images, which were lifted from other social media accounts.
Many of these images appear to have been generated using artificial intelligence.
Swift’s dedicated fanbase, known as Swifties, quickly reacted, accusing Trump of spreading false information.
The singer has not endorsed any candidate in the 2024 election.
However, she was a vocal supporter of the Democrats in 2020 and criticized Trump during his presidency.
One of the images shared by Trump showed Swift fans wearing t-shirts with the slogan “Swifties for Trump.”

The post carried a “satire” label and included a headline stating, “Swifties turning to Trump after ISIS foiled Taylor Swift concert.”
This was a reference to Swift’s recent cancellation of three Vienna concerts due to a potential security threat, which led to the arrest of two individuals suspected of planning attacks inspired by the Islamic State group.
Another image re-shared by Trump mimicked a World War I U.S. army recruiting poster, replacing Uncle Sam’s face with Swift’s and stating, “Taylor wants you to vote for Donald Trump.”
According to reports, two of the images Trump reposted feature real women who are Trump supporters.
While Swift endorsed the Democratic Party in the 2020 election, she also publicly condemned Trump during the nationwide protests over George Floyd’s death.
At the time, she tweeted: “After stoking the fires of white supremacy and racism your entire presidency, you have the nerve to feign moral superiority before threatening violence? We will vote you out in November.”
Earlier this year, reports uncovered several deepfakes depicting Black individuals supporting Trump, although there was no evidence directly linking these images to Trump’s campaign.
