Donald Trump has vowed to release thousands of documents related to the assassination of John F. Kennedy after receiving a high-profile endorsement from JFK’s nephew, Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
Recall that Kennedy Jr. who was once a rival in the race for the presidency, suspended his campaign on Friday and appeared alongside Trump at a rally in Glendale, Arizona.
The event, marked by cheers and fireworks, saw Kennedy offering his support to the former president.
The endorsement has sparked backlash from the Kennedy family, who have condemned RFK Jr.’s decision as a “betrayal” of their family’s values.
Despite their differences, Trump praised Kennedy for running “an extraordinary campaign,” though he acknowledged their past disagreements, saying, “We’ve been a little bit on the opposite side of the equation.”
During the rally, Kennedy, 70, hinted that he might be offered a position in a future Trump administration, though no specifics were provided.
However, Trump announced that, if elected, he would create “a new independent presidential commission on assassination attempts,” which would include a review of the attempt on Trump’s life in Pennsylvania on July 13.
The commission would also be tasked with releasing all remaining documents related to the 1963 assassination of President John F. Kennedy, JFK Jr.’s uncle.

Over 4,700 files connected to the JFK assassination remain partially or heavily redacted, despite the passage of more than six decades.
RFK Jr., the son of Senator Bobby Kennedy who was assassinated in 1968 during his own presidential campaign, took the stage to explain his support for Trump. He cited shared views on issues such as free speech, the war in Ukraine, agricultural policies, and foreign affairs.
Kennedy also emphasized concerns about corruption, particularly among U.S. corporations and regulatory bodies, and the fight against censorship.
In a speech aimed at uniting their supporters, Trump promised to establish a panel to investigate chronic health issues, including autism, autoimmune disorders, and obesity—key issues in Kennedy’s campaign.
Trump ended his remarks with more praise for Kennedy, calling him “brilliant” and acknowledging their past conflicts. “I know because he also went after me a couple of times… I didn’t like it. I think he’s going to have a huge influence on this campaign,” Trump said.
