Trump Secure US Borders
Contrary to circulating claims, U.S. President-elect Donald Trump has not made any statements about restoring electoral integrity in Nigeria.
This rumor surfaced after former Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan congratulated Trump on his election victory in a post on X (formerly Twitter) on Sunday.
EKO HOT BLOG reports that Jonathan wrote, “Dear President Trump, I extend my warmest felicitations to you on your election as the 47th President of the United States. Your impressive victory is a testament to the American people’s faith in your leadership and vision for the future.

“I am optimistic that your Presidency will not only advance the American dream but also promote the cause for global peace, stability, and progress.”
Shortly after, a response appeared from an account named ‘Donald Trump Campaign Updates,’ which thanked Jonathan and mentioned restoring electoral integrity in Nigeria and Africa.
The post read, “Thanks for your goodwill words together we will make America great again and restore electoral integrity in Nigeria and across the African continent.”
This post, made around 11:37 am on Sunday, led to widespread praise among Nigerian social media users who mistakenly believed the account was Trump’s official handle.
Trump Nigeria Election Integrity
However, an investigation by TheCable revealed that the account, which has over 1,700 followers and often shares pro-Trump content, is not Trump’s verified account on X.
Given this, the post should not be regarded as an official statement from President-elect Trump.
