Tunji Alausa Chairs 15th Alhaji Kafaru Oluwole Tinubu Memorial Ramadan Lecture

Eko Hot Blog reports that Dr. Tunji Alausa, the Minister of State for Health and Social Welfare, took center stage as the esteemed chairman of the 15th edition of the Alhaji Kafaru Oluwole Tinubu Memorial Ramadan Lecture.

The event, organized by Radio Lagos and Lagos Television, served as a platform to address pressing societal issues through an Islamic lens.

The lecture, held at the LTV Blue Roof in Agidingbi, Ikeja, featured two thought-provoking topics: “Surviving Under Current Socio-Economic Realities: Islamic Guidelines” and “Combating Corruption: Islamic Point of View.” The esteemed guest lecturers, Dr. Jibril Salaudeen and Prof. Ishaq Olarenwaju Oloyede (CON), brought their expertise to enlighten the audience.

The occasion was graced by the distinguished presence of Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, as the Guest of Honour, and Deputy Governor, Dr. Kadiri Obafemi Hamzat, as the Special Guest of Honour. The President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, was also invited to attend as the Chief Host.

As the chairman of the occasion, Dr. Tunji Alausa delivered a powerful opening address, setting the tone for the event’s significance. “I greet everyone seated here today, and praise be to God for making this gathering a success,” Dr. Alausa said. “All of us seated here today are important personalities in the presence of our Maker.”

Addressing the nation’s leadership, Dr. Alausa expressed gratitude for President Tinubu’s election and called for support and patience as he strives to fulfill his promises. “God loves this country, and having loved this country, He helped us elect a good man to be our president, President Ahmed Tinubu, to lead us right. He has promised to make Nigeria a better place, and he is presently working tirelessly to stand up to his promise.”

Dr. Alausa also acknowledged the contributions of past governors in Lagos State, who built upon the foundation laid by President Tinubu during his tenure as governor. “All governors in Lagos State built upon the foundation he started, and today, Lagos State is benefiting from that. So, let us also be patient with him at the federal level and support him with prayer.”
