This news comes as a huge relief to Galatasaray supporters, who had feared a longer absence after Osimhen was diagnosed with a muscle strain.
Initially described by the player as a minor knock, the injury had sparked concerns he could be sidelined until November.
Osimhen, who scored twice before being substituted at halftime due to the injury, began treatment immediately. His condition also forced him to withdraw from Nigeria’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Libya.
While early reports suggested he could miss up to six weeks, Osimhen, in a video circulating on social media, reassured fans with a confident “After the international break” when asked about his return by Turkish journalist Caner Isbegendiren.
His anticipated early comeback is a major boost for Galatasaray.
Turkish football analyst Emre Sarıgül highlighted the impact of the striker’s recovery, stating, “Osimhen’s return will be a massive lift for Galatasaray. His goal-scoring ability and physical presence will make a significant difference in the Süper Lig.”
Since joining Galatasaray on loan from Napoli in September, Osimhen has been quite impactful, contributing two goals and four assists in four matches across all competitions. His presence will be key as Galatasaray aim to extend their lead in the Turkish Super Lig and defend their title.
