Eko Hot Blog reports that the Turkish Football Federation (TFF) has announced that Nigerian international Bright Osayi-Samuel and two of his Fenerbahce teammates will face a disciplinary hearing following a post-match bust-up with Trabzonspor fans.
The incident occurred after the final whistle of the Super Lig match on March 17, which Fenerbahce won 3-2.

Home supporters at Trabzonspor’s stadium invaded the pitch, attacking Fenerbahce players and coaching staff who were celebrating their victory. Goalkeeper Dominik Livakovic was punched in the face during the chaos.
Osayi-Samuel, 26, retaliated by punching one of the supporters who had run onto the pitch with a masked face. Dutch defender Jayden Oosterwolde is accused of kicking the same supporter.
In a statement, the TFF revealed that a third Fenerbahce player and two club employees will also appear before the disciplinary body for “fighting”. Additionally, a Trabzonspor assistant coach will face disciplinary action.
Condemning the violence, FIFA President Gianni Infantino declared it “absolutely unacceptable”.
The incident has sparked outrage and raised concerns about the safety of players and officials in Turkish football. Thirteen Trabzonspor supporters were arrested, with five placed in pre-trial detention.
This is not the first time Turkish football has been marred by violent incidents this season. Trabzonspor, who won the Turkish title two years ago, also found themselves in the spotlight in 2015 when the club president locked the referee and his assistants inside the stadium overnight in protest at the decision not to award his team a penalty. They were eventually released in the early hours of the following morning after a phone call from Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

The TFF’s disciplinary hearing will aim to address the unacceptable behavior and ensure that appropriate measures are taken to prevent such incidents from recurring in the future. The football community eagerly awaits the outcome, hoping for a strong stance against violence and the restoration of sportsmanship in Turkish football.
