It was gathered that the crash, which occurred at about 05:35 a.m., involved a luxury bus and a truck.
It was learnt that both vehicles had no registration numbers attached to them.
The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) said 40 persons were involved in the crash.
“21 male adults were injured and one person was killed from the crash, that is the luxury bus driver, while others were unhurt,” the FRSC said.
FRSC spokesperson in Ogun, Florence Okpe, confirmed that “the suspected causes of the crash were excessive speed and mechanical deficiency.”
She added that “the speed aspect was from the truck driver, who rammed into the stationed bus and killed the driver of the bus while trying to rectify some issues discovered from the vehicle.”
