Two Borno University Students Killed, Others Injured as Trailer Rams Into School Bus

Two students of Borno State University tragically lost their lives on Wednesday in an accident involving a school bus and a trailer.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that three other students were critically injured, and fifteen others are receiving medical care following the incident.

The school bus, which was carrying thirty students, was struck by a traveling trailer, resulting in the deaths of two students and leaving three others in critical condition.

Ten students were unharmed in the crash.

A statement from the university’s spokesperson, Umar Garkuwa, confirmed that the injured students were promptly taken to Umaru Shehu Hospital and the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital (UMTH) for treatment.

Garkuwa added that the Vice Chancellor and the Dean of Student Affairs are visiting the hospitals to ensure immediate and effective medical attention.
