EKO HOT BLOG reports that two men were on Wednesday brought before an Ijede magistrates’ court in Ikorodu, Lagos State, for conspiring to steal 8,383 fish worth ₦2.5 million.
The police charged Augustine Fred (39) and Nwite Monday (36) with conspiracy, breach of peace and theft.
The prosecutor, Insp Aminu Isaac, said the defendants committed the offence in December, 2021 at No 1 Babakekere Close, Igbodu area of Ijede in Ikorodu.
Insp Isaac said the defendants conspired and stole the ₦2.5 worth fish, property of one Awolaru Olukorede.
He said, “They conducted themselves in a manner likely to cause breach of peace by disobeying the lawful order given to them by constituted authority in their place of work.”

The Magistrate, G.O. Anifowoshe, admitted the defendants to bail in the sum of ₦200,000 each, with two sureties each in like sum and adjourned the case to May 19.
