Police Confirms The Arrest Of A Kano Man Who Locked 30-Year-Old Son In Car Garage For 7 Years

Anambra State Police Command has arrested two men, Emeka Ogbukaifedi aged twenty-seven years and Monday Okeke aged twenty-eight years at different locations for allegedly defiling two minors in the State.

Emeka Ogbukaifedi was said to have defiled a sixteen-year-old girl on false pretence in Oba, Idemili south local government area and forcefully took her pant, while Monday Okeke defiled a fourteen-year-old girl through abduction for three days in ire village, abba, before releasing her.

Anambra state police public relations officer, Haruna Mohammed who confirmed the arrest in a statement released to journalists said,
“It would be recalled that on the 18th March, 2020 at about 11 am, a 16-year old girl from okpuno-umuogali village, oba was allegedly defiled by one Emeka Ogbukaifedi, male, aged 27 years of Okpuno-umuogali village, oba in idemili south local government area of Anambra state.”

“Suspect allegedly took the victim on his bike under the false pretence that her father asked him to bring her to the defunct Oba airport, on arrival at the scene, the said suspect allegedly brought out a knife and defiled her by force.”

“Victim further alleged that suspect also tore her pant and took them away to an unknown destination.”

“Police detectives attached to oba division visited the scene and rushed the victim to the hospital for medical examination.”

“Similarly, on 25th March 2020, a 14 years old girl of ire village, abba was allegedly abducted by a Keke rider named Monday Okeke, male,aged 28years from Izzi in Ebonyi state and defiled her for three days before she regained her freedom.”

“Victim was rushed to general hospital Enugu-ukwu for medical examination where penetration was confirmed and the suspect has been arrested.”

He said that the commissioner of police, Mr John Abang had directed that all the cases be transferred to the state criminal investigation department, Awka for thorough investigation and prosecution.
