EKO HOT BLOG reports that on Friday, a vigilante on routine duty allegedly shot and killed two suspected armed robbers along Okwidjidjerhe road in Orerokpe Community, Okpe Local Government Area.
According to reports, the Vigilante also recovered two AK-47 rifles from the suspects.
This comes after one other suspect was said to have fled the scene of the incident.
The suspects, who had been terrorizing the Oviorie-Ovu Community and its environs, were apprehended while attempting to steal armoured cable in the area.
When they saw the vigilante, they opened fire.
The vigilante, on the other hand, repelled the bullets and instantly killed two of the suspects.
Soldiers on patrol at the Oviorie-Ovu Community junction in the Ethiope-East Local Government Area dashed into the crime scene and whisked the remains of the deceased suspects into their patrol van in search of the fleeing suspect.
The soldiers did not allow anyone to get a good look at the dead suspects.
DSP Bright Edafe, the Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, told reporters over the phone that he was unaware of the incident.
