Two Nigerian TikTokers, Ahmad Isa and Maryam Musa, have been sentenced to prison for posting vulgar videos on social media.
EKO HOT BLOG reports that they were apprehended by Kano State’s censorship board for breaching the state’s religious and moral standards.

The pair appeared before a Kano Magistrate Court, where state counsel Barr. Garzali Maigari charged them with criminal conspiracy and the dissemination of illicit content.
After pleading guilty, each was handed a one-year prison sentence, with an alternative option to pay a fine of N100,000. Magistrate Hadiza Muhammad Hassan also cautioned them to maintain proper conduct.
This incident follows a pattern of legal issues faced by TikTokers in Kano. In February 2024, the Kano Hisbah Board arrested Murja Kunya, remanding her in prison over allegations of immoral behavior.
