UCL: The Referee In Charge Of Real Madrid Vs Chelsea Have Some History With Both Clubs
Chelsea will travel to Spain on Tuesday to take on Spanish club Real Madrid in the first leg of their champions league semi final game at the Stefano stadium.
The blues will be heading into the game after coming off a 1-0 away victory over West Ham United yesterday, while the Los Blancos played a goalless draw with Real Betis on Saturday.
The referee that will officiate the game between Real Madrid and Chelsea has been appointed, and his name is Danny Makkelie and he is a Dutchman who is also a policeman.

He has previously officiated the game between Chelsea and Maribor in the 2014/15 champions league season, when Chelsea won 6-0, he also officiated Chelsea vs Atletico Madrid in the 2017/18 champions league season, that ended in a draw.
He officiated the game between Real Madrid and Atalanta in the round of 16 of the Champions league, when Madrid won 3-1.
He has officiated a total number of seven champions league games, and has given out 36 yellow cards to players and one red card, EKO HOT BLOG gathered.
