The Nigerian Nightmare Kamaru Usman successfully defended his UFC welterweight title by knocking out the Brazilian Gilbert Burns.
Usman survive a first round rush by Burns, but came out strong in the second and sustain the tempo to a third round knockout.
With this win, Usman has set a new record as the fighter with the longest successful tittle defense in the welterweight.
This was a biggest test for the Nigerian Kamaru Usman who made it look simple. There was so much tension in the build up to this fight because Burns and Usman were former team mates and knew each other very well.
Usman and Burns didn’t touch gloves at the start of fight, but they hugged and exchanged emotional words at the end of the fight, EKO HOT BLOG gathered.
Usman will be waiting for repeat of Covington, Edwards or Masvidal depending on who qualifies.
