Ukraine In Pictures After Russia’s First Strike [PHOTOS]
- There have been reports of missile strikes and explosions near major Ukrainian cities
- People have been trying to flee the capital Kyiv
EKO HOT BLOG reports that Russia, on Thursday, launched a military assault on neighbouring Ukraine after several weeks of laying seige on its border.
The UK, EU and other Western allies have vowed to impose a new package of much tougher sanctions to punish Russia but have said they will not send troops.
