Eko Hot Blog reports that Nigeria’s Minister of State for Health and Social Welfare, Tunji Alausa, has continued activities at the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York, United States (US).

After attending a briefing of President Bola Tinubu before the Nigerian leader’s address to world leaders late Tuesday night, the minister was at a reception on global health.

The reception celebrated 26 years of Impact in Global Health and was organised by two nongovernmental organisations, Aig-Imoukhuede Foundation and GBCHealth.

According to Aig-Imoukhuede Foundation’s website, the group has committed more than N3 billion to improving healthcare across Africa and mobilised up to N4 billion from co-sponsors for the Adopt-a-Health-Facilty Programme.

The group says it aims to improve the lives of Africans by transforming public service delivery and increasing access to quality primary healthcare.

On the other hand, GBCHealth is a global business coalition that works with the private sector, governments, NGOs, not-for-profits, academia, and more to drive global health improvements.
