Unknown Gunmen Abduct Popular Bauchi Politician

  • The gunmen drove along Nassarawa street but made a u-turn after sighting a police patrol van ahead and then sped along the Federal Lowcost road.

A popular politician in Bauchi State, Uba Boris, has been abducted by unknown gunmen in the state, EKO HOT BLOG has gathered.

Boris, a member of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), was said to have been kidnapped by the gunmen at the CBN roundabout, close to the AA Rano filling station along the Federal Lowcost road at about 8 pm on Wednesday.

It was gathered that the gunmen trailed the popular politician on two power bikes until they got to the Nassarawa gate where they stopped his car and fired gunshots in the air to scare away people around the area.

An eyewitness disclosed that the politician was immediately bundled from his car into a waiting car after which they drove away, shooting sporadically.

The source added that the gunmen drove along Nassarawa street but made a u-turn after sighting a police patrol van ahead and then sped along the Federal Lowcost road.

EKO HOT BLOG further gathered that the abductors of the popular politician had yet to contact his family members or associates as of the time of writing this report.

Also, the Bauchi State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Mohammed Ahmed Wakili, could not be reached for comment on the incident.
