There is an urgent need to unlock the traffic gridlock in Lagos hence the need for drivers’ education. So far, about 30,000 drivers have been trained since the beginning of this year,” she asserted.
In his remarks, Mr. Modupe Macaulay, representative of the GM LASTMA, reiterated the need for road users to practice defensive driving & also have consideration for other motorists.
According to Macaulay, “Roads are being expanded daily, constructions are ongoing, traffic signs & directions are changing day by day, so drivers need to be well informed & updated to avoid violating traffic rules.”
Responding, the Acting Chairman of Ojota Tipper Garage, Alh. Yisa Emayo Akegbeyale appreciated LASDRI for bringing the campaign to their park to educate drivers on the need to be safety conscious while driving
