100 Level UNN Student Found Dead In Campus Drainage

The University of Nigeria Nsukka confirmed the tragic death of first-year student, whose body was found in a drainage, and is collaborating with authorities to investigate.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that the management of the University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN) has confirmed the tragic passing of Favour Okenyi, a first-year student from the Department of Medical Laboratory Science, whose body was found in a drainage near Akanu Ibiam Stadium on Friday, July 5.

In a statement on Sunday, the university’s Acting Public Relations Officer, Chief Okwun Omeaku, expressed the community’s shock and appealed for information to help identify those responsible for this tragic event.

Omeaku extended condolences to Okenyi’s family and stated that the university is collaborating with security agencies and the family to uncover the circumstances of her death and prevent such incidents in the future.

“The University Community was shocked on Friday, July 5, by the distressing discovery of a lifeless body found in a drainage near Akanu Ibiam Stadium, UNN.

“The University administration is deeply saddened by the loss of our student and extends heartfelt condolences to the family of the deceased for the tragic death of such a promising young student.
