Unrepentant Ex-Convict Forfeits Bail, Rearrested Few Hours After Release From Prison
An ex-convict has been arrested again by the police, few hours after being released from prison.
EKO HOT BLOG reports that men of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS), Lagos State Police Command have arrested one Yakub Yusuf for stealing, few hours after being released from prison.

According to a statement by the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the suspect, Yusuf, aged 23, had spent one month in prison for stealing at Lagos State fuel dump in Alausa, Ikeja.
Yusuf was bailed by an NGO but arrested again after breaking into the Lagos State Fire Service to steal valve from fire trucks.
In his words: “The suspect, Yakub Yusuf aged 23 was arrested around 0800hrs on Saturday after regaining freedom following his one-month prison sentence for stealing at Lagos State fuel dump, Alausa, Ikeja.”
“Learning that he was imprisoned because he could not pay a fine which was an option, an NGO facilitated his release by paying the fine on Friday, November 11,just ten days after his conviction on November 1, 2022.”
“Yakub was arrested again after breaking into Lagos State Fire Service premises from where he stole valve covers of old fire truck under repairs.”
SP Hundeyin revealed that the case has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for investigation.
