EKO HOT BLOG reports that Kensington Palace has released an unseen photograph of Queen Elizabeth II on what would have been her 97th birthday. The photograph was taken by the Princess of Wales at Balmoral in August, just weeks before the Queen’s passing. Her Majesty is pictured surrounded by some of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The photograph captures a moment of happiness and contentment for the monarch, who appeared in her element with Lady Louise Mountbatten-Windsor, James, Earl of Wessex, Lena Tindall, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, Isla Phillips, Prince Louis, Mia Tindall, Lucas Tindall, and Savannah Phillips.
According to reports, the impromptu portrait was taken by Kate, a keen amateur photographer, during the annual family gathering at Balmoral in August, shortly before the Queen passed away on September 8. At the time of her death, Queen Elizabeth had eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Earlier today, the Royal Family paid tribute to their beloved matriarch, who died peacefully after celebrating her Platinum Jubilee. They posted a picture of Queen Elizabeth on duty on their social media and included a message saying, ‘Today we remember the incredible life and legacy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, on what would have been her 97th birthday’.
The publication of the unseen photograph has sparked an outpouring of love and admiration for the Queen on social media. Fans of the royal family have described the photograph as a poignant tribute to a much-loved monarch who served her country with distinction for over six decades.
