After hours of delay and multiple unanswered calls for emergency response, the fire service crews have finally reached the area, bringing relief to residents and commuters who had been grappling with fears of a potential explosion.
“We’re glad to see the fire service here at last,” said Deborah, an eyewitness at the scene. “Their presence gives us some reassurance that the situation will be brought under control soon.”
A passer-by, who preferred to remain anonymous, expressed cautious optimism about the fire service’s arrival. “It’s a good thing they’re finally here. Let’s hope they can secure the area quickly and prevent any further risk to lives and property.”
Authorities are still urging the public to avoid the area until further notice as emergency crews work to contain the spilled fuel and stabilize the overturned tanker.
Traffic in the vicinity remains at a standstill, with vehicles being redirected into inner streets to steer clear of the potential hazard zone.
