The devastating building collapse which occurred at Saint Academy in Jos, has thus far, resulted in 22 fatalities and 132 injuries.
According to the Plateau State Government, the total number of fatalities and injuries stands at 154.
Emergency responders are currently conducting search and rescue operations at the scene.
Injured students and staff are receiving medical treatment at various hospitals across Jos.
Plateau State Specialist Hospital (PSSH) has admitted 39 patients with 3 fatalities, Our Lady of Apostles (OLA) Hospital has admitted 32 patients with 5 fatalities, Bingham University Teaching Hospital has admitted 55 patients with 14 fatalities, and Jos University Teaching Hospital (JUTH) has admitted 6 patients with no fatalities.
The Plateau State Government responded promptly to the incident, activating emergency response protocols immediately upon notification.
The government has promised to provide support to the affected families and ensure that those responsible are held accountable.
