UPDATE: MOCPED Set To Mark 25th Anniversary With Series Of Activities

Ekohotblog reports that Michael Otedola College of Primary Education, MOCPED, will on Monday, December 9, commence its 25th anniversary with a series of activities.

Recall the anniversary was previously scheduled for Monday, November 25th but due to the unfortunate demise of its 100 Level students, Late Oni Olubuko , the college rescheduled it to the current date, December, 9, 2019 as a mark of respect for the deceased.

Activities lined up for the one-week event include but not limited to press conference to hold Monday, 9th Dec,2019, and it will be followed with exhibition of all College and departmental products and achievements, historical pictures and events, to be displayed until the end of the anniversary.

Marriage seminar will come up same day after the Press Conference and it will feature quiz competition on how well the staffers of the college know their spouses.

Tuesday, 10th Dec 2019, will be for medical checkups on Diabetes, Hypertension and Eye test. Medical professionals will be on ground for Health Talks immediately after the check up.

Anniversary Lecture will hold on Wednesday , 11th Dec 2019 and the Guest Lecturer is Professor Leke Fakoya from LASU by 10:am at the Multipurpose hall of the College.

There will be a Novelty Match between Women in Colleges of Education, WICE and Male Staff of the College, table tennis among other indoor games at the College Sport ground after the convocation lecture.

On Thursday, 12th December, 2019, there will be Seminar for students on preparing for a glorious future, pick and talk section and talents section at Lecture Theater 2 by 10:am -4pm.

The grand finale of the Anniversary is Luncheon and Long Service award and will come up on Thursday, 19th December, 2019 at the Multipurpose hall.

Although the series of activities started with health walk by staffers and students of the College from the College gate to Ita-Marun on Thurs, 28th Nov, 2019, followed by a film show title THE WEEPING PRESIDENT at the Multipurpose hall.

Jumat and Thanksgiving Service was observed respectfully on Fri, 29th, Nov 2019.
