UPDATE: Musa, Iheanacho And Three Others Arrive Nigeria For Game Against Sierra Leone

  • Super Eagles captain, Ahmed Musa, Leicester City striker Kelechi Iheanacho, and three others invited players are part of the early birds to land in Nigeria for the 2022 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers versus Sierra Leone.

The team camp has opened today as Ahmed Musa, Kelechi Iheanacho, Maduka Okoye, Oghenekaro Etebo and Paul Onuachu already in the country for the double header slated for Benin City and Freetown few days apart.

The players will today begin preparations for the official games with the first leg taking place on Friday at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium of Benin City, Edo State.

More players are expected to enter the country as Coach Gernot Rohr will hope to assemble more playing personnel with limited days to prepare for the ties.

The Super Eagles official Twitter account confirmed their presence through a tweet as Nigeria will be aiming to maintain their 100 percent record so far in the series.
