UPDATED: Obaseki Extends Lead Over Ize-Iyamu By Over 80,000 Votes Margin
Godwin Obaseki, governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is inching close to reelection as he takes a clear lead in Saturday’s gubernatorial election in Edo state.
Obaseki is currently leading Osagie Ize-Iyamu, his All Progressives Congress (APC) rival, with over 80,000 votes.
Obaseki is leading by 80,207 votes in 15 local government areas declared so far by officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
