Eko Hot Blog reports that a aircraft has crashed near the the Murtala Muhammed Airport, Ikeja, Lagos.
Tunji Oketunbi, the spokesman for the Nigerian Safety Investigation Bureau (NSIB), confirmed the development on Tuesday afternoon.

An official from The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) also confirmed that the event occurred on Tuesday afternoon.
In another development, the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has confirmed the crash of an aircraft in Lagos State on Tuesday evening.
The agency said the helicopter with registration number 5NCCQ belongs to Airfirst Hospitality and Tour Ltd and crashed near the Lagos Airport.
NEMA in the statement noted that its staff and that of, LASEMA, Fire Service, Security Agencies and other stakeholders carried out search and rescue operations.
Two Rescued Alive
Two occupants of the helicopter that crashed in front of a United Bank for Africa (UBA) branch in the Ikeja area of Lagos State, have been rescued alive.
In a statement on Tuesday, the spokesman of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos, Gboyega Akosile said the two occupants were retrieved from the aircraft alive.
Akosile disclosed that the two casualties have been transferred to the hospital for further care and treatment.
