As a footballer, Santiago Gracia left his mark in the game, in an Argentine league that comprises of good teams like Boca Juniors, River Plate, and Newell Old boys, Santiago led his team, Godoy Cruz, to a second-place finish behind Boca Juniors, he also emerged the top scorer of the league with 17 goals last season.
A lot was expected from him this season, but he lost his place in the team after having a fall out with the club owner, a situation that remained the same before his death.
As gathered by EKO HOT BLOG, it has been alleged that the 30-year-old striker committed suicide while others said that he was killed.
The Argentine football federation are still trying to unravel the puzzle before his death, the last time he spoke or communicated with anybody was three days ago, it was when a friend decided to check on him earlier on Saturday that it was discovered that he had been dead.
Morro started his footballing career in 2008, he had been with his current club since 2016 and he immediately won a place in the heart of the fans because of his goal scoring ability.
Without a doubt, he will be greatly missed by the entire management of Godoy Cruz and most especially his teammates whom he had shared fun memories with.
