The Senator representing New Jersey, Bob Menendez, has reacted to the recent rearrest of the convener of the RevolutionNow movement Omoyele Sowore, by the officials of State Secret Service.
It could be recalled that armed men of the DSS had stormed the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja on Friday where they caused commotion in the process to forcefully rearrest Sowore barely 24 hours after he was released by the DSS.
Menendez in a video addressing the world press conference with Sowore’s wife warned the Nigerian government that there would be consequences following the failure of the DSS to obey court orders.
He said; “He [Sowore] was released by court order. He should be released.”
