Meanwhile, Joshua is scheduled to face Daniel Dubois for the IBF title on September 21 at Wembley Stadium. Should Joshua win this bout, he may have the opportunity to challenge the winner of the Usyk and Fury fight.
In a recent interview with Mail Sport Boxing, Usyk shared his thoughts on the possibility of a third match with Joshua. “I don’t particularly want any matches.
But, when we beat Tyson Fury for the second time and when Anthony Joshua beats Daniel Dubois, of course, they will want to do a third fight,” Usyk said.
Usyk has made history as only the second boxer, after Evander Holyfield, to achieve undisputed champion status in both the cruiserweight and heavyweight divisions, and the first to do so in the four-belt era.
Despite his remarkable achievements, Usyk acknowledged the role Joshua played in boosting his global fame.
“Anthony helped me become even more famous in the world. Anthony did it. And if it happens with God’s help, then I am ready for a third fight with Anthony,” Usyk remarked.
The Ukrainian boxer also praised Joshua’s recent performances, noting his improved mental strength. When asked about Joshua’s chances against Dubois, Usyk confidently responded, “He has improved a lot psychologically.
