Vacancy!!! Tractor Operator at Green Hills Agricultural Products Limited
Green Hills Agricultural Products Limited is responsible for overseeing a multi-million-dollar Greenfield project established by Saro in Edo State. The Greenfield is aimed at producing Food grade ethanol and carbon dioxide using Cassava as feedstock. The company’s goal is to deliver on Nigeria’s local consumption needs, thereby supporting import substitution whilst serving all stakeholders in the value chain, including final consumers.
We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Tractor Operator
Location: Benin, Edo
Employment Type: Full-time
Primary Responsibilities
- Operate tractor with full range of implements such as plough, harrow, boom sprayer, cassava planter etc.
- Maintain tractor and implements.
- Drive truck, maintain farm site and prepare field for trials.
- Perform all other related duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.
- Ability to operate heavy duty equipment such as tractors and all attachments over rough, uneven steep surfaces, on rolling hills, flat terrain, soft or loose surfaces and along roadways within confined and congested areas,
- Ability to recognize and trouble -shoot mechanical problems with tractor and all attachments,
- Familiarity with the basic principles of petrol and diesel engines, hydraulic systems and components of all attachments,
- Ability to operate tractor and attachments according to standard procedures and specialized instructions.
Qualifications / Experience
- Minimum of O’level
- Applicant must have 3 – 5 relevant experience working in a large commercial farm
- Age: 25 – 35 years.
Competencies Required:
- Be smart, diligent, ready to work in a team and have a good sense of interpersonal relationship.
