We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Welding Technician / Fabricator
Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Responsibilities
- Meeting with project managers to discuss structural design and material specifications.
- Perform skilled welding work; including fabrication welding, maintenance and repair.
- Perform general maintenance work.
- Operate machines, welding equipment and other hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Maintains tools and equipment in clean and proper working condition.
- Estimate materials required for new and maintenance projects.
- Understand and follow oral and written directions
- Work from blueprints, workshop drawings and sketches.
- Maintain routine records.
- Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others.
Academic Qualification / Experience
- Minimum of OND in Welding engineering technology and not less than 2years working experience in welding works.
- Professional Qualifications, an added advantage.
- Candidate should possess Trade Test Certificate from a recognized technical institution.
- Must have completed a welding apprenticeship.
Requirements:
- Must know all methods, equipment and materials used in the welding trade.
- Must know the proper methods of storing equipment, materials and supplies.
- Appropriate safety practices and procedures
- Conversant with Health and safety regulations applicable to gas and arc welding.
